Climate change does not affect everyone equally. Women face social injustice and are the most affected by climate injustice. Women are disproportionately affected because they are often the ones working closely with the natural resources affected by climate change. Social and cultural inequalities deprive women a lot of their rights and limit their participation in decision making processes about mitigation and adaptation plans.
